    morebus: Many bus routes go to Poole Bus Station. Route One Poole circular to Poole
    Quay.8 and 9 circular Poole/Hamworthy/Turlin Moor.
    South Western Railway : Poole and Hamworthy stations.
    Car Parking: town car parks in Poole, pay. Side roads in Hamworthy.
  • Approximate distance: 9 km, 5.5 mls allow 3 hours.
  • Facilities en route: tearoom and toilets in Upton Park, refreshments and toilets at
    Poole.
  • Nature of route: footpaths, tarmaced paths and roads, no stiles.

  • Connecting trails: Castleman Trailway at Upton Park.
  • Connecting harbour walks: Walk 1 – Poole to Greenlands; Walk 1a Poole Park, Poole Quay and
    Baiter, (a Walks4softies walk).
  • Waymarks:-the linear walks are now waymarked with small, green roundels but these may not give
    the correct directions for the circular walks.
  • (1) Facing the sea, turn right (W) along the Quay and left on to the bridge. Cross the Little
  • Channel and continue to a roundabout where you turn right on to Blandford Road. After about 500 m,
  • turn right into Blandford Close.
  • (If you would rather start this walk from Poole Bus Station, you could either take bus Route One to
  • Poole Quay, or the numbers 8 or 9 to Ashmore Avenue, Hamworthy and start this walk at point (2)
  • below after walking back to Blandford Close on your left.)
  • (2) The road turns left and before the school entrance turn right onto a track alongside the
  • football pitch up to the top corner of the tennis court. Turn left and follow the track along the
  • back of the courts until you come out onto the water’s edge.
  • (3) Turn left on the bridleway and right down the footpath between the houses and the harbour.
  • Follow this through until you reach the boatyard and turn left up to the road.
